This is our very first cruise trip with young family on Carnival. Cruise staff are very friendly and professional, from cleaning to restaurant services are wonderful. Ship Details: Ship Quality Ok service Dining/Food Excellent customer service and attention to our requests. We always give tips when we are at the restaurant. Stateroom Quality Excellent service and very polite staff. Again, we give tips to them daily while we are on the ship. Cons: Food was ok and not much variety, but did not starve by any means. Once acclamated, Ship was fairly easy to navigate. Being an older vessel, it was well maintained and up-to-date. The miniature golf was a bit beat up as was the waterworks....but still able to capture the experience. Cons: Bar prices were a bit high. Although the Ecstasy is an older ship, it is kept in excellent. There were few moments when you didn't see the crew cleaning/polishing. The size of the ship also was an advantage. It was easy to orient oneself to the layout, and boarding/debarking were not plagued by long, tedious lines; it also enhanced food service. Ship Details: Ship Quality See above Dining/Food The food overall was excellent. We were able to dine at our leisure and when we desired. Stateroom Quality We had a balcony stateroom which was a nice addition. The size was fine - we didn't cruise to watch TV! Ship Staff Quality Staff was wonderful. They called us by first name after the first meeting. Our room steward could not have been nicer or more accomodating. Bar staff - especially Society - were the same. I like the layout of the ship and the amenities. Having the kid fun things at the back of the boat away from other things is smart. Our recent 4-day sailing took us to Nassau and Half Moon Cay and 1 sea day. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. It's not a luxury cruise, so we weren't expecting fine dining or luxurious cabin etc. But overall, it was really good value. With our small party (4 people), we opted to try the flexible dining. On the third night at main dining, we had Jose as our head server. He was HILARIOUS! Not only he and his team provided excellent service, they were such entertainment. We went back the following day requesting for Jose... Ship Details: Ship Quality Dining/Food Food was decent, but we had a great service team led by Jose. The extra smiley is for them. I don't want to fill out the entire evaluation again because the same problem will probably develop but to want to state that this was a terrible cruise. We would never cruise with Carnival again. Ship Details: Ship Quality Not enough hand sanitizers in key areas and many that they had were often empty. Dining table had 11 instead of 10 and the crowding made it impossible to pull chairs up to the table. Room was simply had too many people crowded into it. Dining/Food Hamburgers were the best things we could find to eat and we don't need to go on a cruise to eat McDonald's style food. Stateroom Quality Small but well cared for. Ship Staff Quality Guest services personnel were actually rude and it is their job to be nice all the time. We were amazed. Cons: General feeling that all except food is with added cost The ship has a vary good dinning options, bars and the water slide is nice. But the ship has a poor design both from the aesthetics, lack of shaded areas. Some of the water slides where not working.
