South America 2012/2013 - Marni by A Traveler from LA
Sailing date: Dec 2012

Didn't tell us that there were NO ATMs in Stanley and no restaurants take credit cards. We were stranded. Gym situation was almost intolerable - need WAY MORE gym/cardio equipment, missed movies in Princess Theatre (too cold ouside) and need some type of vod/hotel system for watching movies.

South America 2012/2013 - Erich by Roland W from LA
Sailing date: Dec 2012

Pros:
Toring the glaciers and cape horn

Cons:
Disembarking, the gym situation and the computer/printing situation

Disbarling was a nighare, availability of computers and printers shut off on last days without notice and hostile gym situation - there isn't enough cardio equipment and the equipment is terrible.

The cruise was really very nice . . . by A Traveler from Appleton/Kimberly, Wisconsin
Sailing date: Sep 2012

Pros:
Meals, shows, & trivia

Cons:
Gettint our pictures taken every time we turned around & not enough waste baskets

The ship and crew were very good. It was our 3rd cruise and we had fun and were lucky with the weather so all our excursions worked well. We went salmon fishing and had a salmon we caught for dinner one evening, it was very good and the presentation was Teriffic ! . . . we' ll do it again ! ! ! Marcia did a great job of keeping us informed and was very responsive to all my requests !

Dining/Food
. . . one of the "fun" aspects for use, having several alternatives and a couple of the appetizers were ( quite frankly) the best we have ever had anyplace ( boat or otherwise).

We upgraded to a " mini-suite" . . . . big difference from a " regular stateroom" ( mush more storage and the bathroom is a real bathroom. It was very nice.

A cruise to Alaska by A Traveler from PDX
Sailing date: Jul 2012

Pros:
Scenery, history

Cons:
Total emphasis on jewelry, shopping by Princess Cruise Lines

Elevators are hard to use. Much time waiting and watching them just go by your floor. I think the Cruise line can shut them down at will and control movement of passengers. Very evident at the end of the cruise, but ongoing throughout the cruise. Food was average. Staff was very friendly. This route was just ruined by the commercialism on ship and on the shore.

Great cruise by Raquel F. from MD
Sailing date: Oct 2011

Pros:
The venue

Cons:
The night clubs

This is our second time to take Star Princess. The previous one was to South America. Both cruises were great and we sure love Star Princess. We enjoyed the dance music at Explorer's Lounge.
