Panama Canal Cruise by
A Traveler from Chicag, IL
Sailing date: Sep 2012 Pros:
the ports of call
Cons:
main dining room
Ports were great as long as you were taking tours. I highly recommend the "Humanitarian tour" in Guatemala - you get to help an extremely needy school and then see beautiful Antigua. Loved seeing the canal (which I wasn't expecting).
Was a bit disappointed with some aspects on board - but Celebrity is still my favorite line.
Ship Quality Has been "Solticized" - and not completely finished - half of the outside of deck 4 was being worked on the entire trip. They took away the card/game room. Air conditioning wasn't working properly in some areas.
Dining/Food I was somewhat disappointed - for the first time on Celebrity, I had to send a meal back because the lobster was very undercooked. Also, it seemed that the chef had a much heavier hand with the herbs and spices - too heavy for my taste and some odd combinations.
Stateroom Quality Even though we only had an oceanview this time (I usually book a verandah) the room was comfortable and worked well for us. Our cabin steward was SUPER!! He went above and beyond for us.
Ship Staff Quality While our cabin steward was wonderful, some of the other staff was not. I think a lot of the crew went to the new ship and we got a lot of new crew in San Diego for this cruise. It showed. Service was not what I'm used to with this line.
Entertainment & Activities Speakers and activities were excellent, as were the production shows. However the other entertainment was fair to good. The ventriloquist - comedian told jokes that were in poor taste. One of the bands was not nearly of the quality I expect on Celebrity. The Celebrity band and string trio were superior!

Rain, rain, rain and more rain by
A Traveler from Chicago, il
Sailing date: Jul 2012 Pros:
The ships staff
Cons:
The weather
The ship was very clean, well kept up and well run. Unfortunately, the weather (rain) made it almost impossible to use the outside deck and there were not enough activities that my wife and I were interested in during sea days.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food The food in the all day dining exceeded our expectations but the main dining room was just average.
Stateroom Quality Our stateroom attendant was fantastic.
Ship Staff Quality The ships staff was really great. They were friendly, helpful, smiling and tried at all times to make sure that we were well taken care of.
Entertainment & Activities There were not enough activities to keep us interested orfrom being bored, especially on days at sea. The fact that it rained every single day and we were not able to use the outdoor areas of the boat did not help.

Sailing date: Aug 2012 Pros:
The ship was gorgeous and the service was almost impeccable.
Cons:
The service at the spa was lacking. There were also very few exercise classes offered.

A great cruise! by
Clide Ferreira from Houston, TX
Sailing date: Jun 2012 Pros:
the service and the ports that we stopped were excellent
Cons:
the comedian show in the last night was not of very good taste his jokes and acts.
This was an excellent cruise. The ship was very clean, and it had everything we could need and expect. The service it was the best, every one was very polite, and the dinning staff was the best, always paying attention to what we like and how we like the food prepared. If we found the food to be over cooked or under cook they brought us a new plate. They were exceptional in their way of serving.
The staterooms always clean and a good size room.
The ports of call were perfect, with a variety of land tours.
We enjoyed this cruise very much, and recommend it to all our friends.

Ship Staff Quality All the crew staff that attended us were going above and beyond what we expected. The waiters were just fantastic, always paying attention to what we like and how we like the food. Excellent service
Entertainment & Activities In general the entertainment was very good, except the comedian that acted the last night of the cruise, we thought he was very crude, his jokes and acts some were of very low taste. The rest of the musicals, excellent!

we made it a great time by
A Traveler from modesto, ca
Sailing date: May 2012 Pros:
being out to sea; panama transit & the Blu w/ all its staff
Cons:
the un-preparedness of staff & condition of ship
what we observed was...the ship & its staff were not fully prepared for the newly solsticized voyage
Ship Quality - layout of ship was chopped-up, no flow or continuity
- some decks weren't available/accessible at times -- still under construction/maintenance
- wooden lounge chairs (no padding) in solarium extremely uncomfortable!
- cleanliness of ship inside & out was sub-par
- decks, esp. around pools were extremely slippery
- many doors did not latch appropriately, i.e. bathrooms (both stateroom & public)
Dining/Food music in Blu (choice & volume) was the only unfavorable aspect of our dining experiences, confirmed by many other passengers
Stateroom Quality - holes in the sheets & pillowcases
- stains on sheets & pillowcases
- new aqua class staterooms, again, in our opinion were unprepared (bottled water, tea, pillow menu, etc. was not initiated by attendant)
Ship Staff Quality part of the crew seemed to have the 'solstice' mind set, the rest of them not so much, this was confirmed by part of your managing staff
Entertainment & Activities select entertainment -- Full Tilt & all cooking/baking demonstrations--chef Bruno : ) were superb!!!

Sailing date: Apr 2012 Pros:
clean, and good entertainmence activities
Cons:

The ship was kept clean. Dinning room food is good, but fish dishes tend to be very dry.
Cafe food is good, just wish there were more real Asian dishes. Entertainment activities were great.

Great Travel Experience by

Me and my parents totally love the trip. There's great food on board and fantastic activities. The scenery is impressive as well as the service we enjoyed.
I have already recommended the trip to many friends, and I would definitely do it again to somewhere else in the future.
Ship Quality ship is great except a bit old
Dining/Food impressive food!
Stateroom Quality i was expecting to see towel animals on the bed, but didn't see it....so deduct one point.
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & Activities Love the broadway show and talk show.

Best Vacation so far by
Harry K from United States
Sailing date: Mar 2012 Pros:
No Worries
Cons:
Excursion in Jamaica was supposed to be on a 90 foot yacht, which turned out to be a filthy fishing boat at best.
Very nice ship overall. A tad in need of maintenance...a bit of rust on the railings on the balcony, otherwise a very well kept ship!
Ship Quality There was always someone cleaning the railings, workers stationed with anti-bacterial soap at the entrances to food areas etc...very clean, and the maid assigned to our room was a gem!! Maria, we love you!!!
Dining/Food Very satisfied with the food. The 5 night cruise...we weren't able to try everything, especially once you found something you really likes...sushi, Indian food...never got to the pasta/stir fry area...
Stateroom Quality Though the room was a bit small, we really didn't need much more room. very comfortable, and Maria, who was in charge of our room was the BEST!!!
Ship Staff Quality Couldn't ask for a more friendly staff...not even a slight complaint...don't know how they do it night after night.....
Entertainment & Activities First night was a medley of what was to come...unfortunately, it was pretty lame, until the comedian James Stevens (sp?) came on and woke me up....the rest of the shows were excellent as well....should come up with a better medley.

Nice Cruise by
Zhao G. from Chicago, IL
Sailing date: Mar 2012 Pros:
The food, the stateroom
Cons:
not convenient to get hot water in stateroom
This is a nice ship. But the stateroom doesn't have toothbrush and toothpaste. I don't know why. The temperature is rather low in Deck 4,5, so that we came back from deck 10 and suddenly get into a cold room causing a cold
